The Fine (and Easy) Art of
Quilling!
Scrappin' Sticks: 1. To make the center of the flower, Insert Gold strip into quilling tool, leaving the entire remainder of the strip on one side. 2. Guide with your finger as you coil the strip tightly around the end of the tool. Use the entire strip. 3. Keep the coil tight as you pull it off the tool. Use a small dot of Mono Adhesive glue at the end of the strip and hold firmly until it dries. 4. To make the lilac petals, repeat steps 1-3 with each of the lilac strips--but this time, let the coil come loose before you glue it. 5. After the glue is dry on the petals, pinch 2 sides of the circle to create 2 creases, giving it the "petal" shape. 6. Repeat this for each green leaf (2 strips). 7. To create the vine, use your last green strip and tear off about an inch at one end. Coil the end with your quilling tool as you did earlier. No glue is necessary. 8. With the remainder of the strip, pick a spot and make a crease. Curl each end with the quilling tool. No glue is necessary. 9. Arrange the flower with the gold coil in the center, the 8 lilac petals around the gold center, and the vines and leaves as desired. |
